Lisa Blue, President
Lisa is a mother of a 22 year old, non-verbal son with Autism and a teacher at Marie Hughes Elementary School. Lisa is also a NM LEND fellow and graduate of the NM Partners in Policymaking. Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s of Special Education, and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Special Education. She is active in promoting the necessity of family-centered education, and has been a volunteer with Parents Reaching Out for the past eleven years.
Genevieve Jaramillo, Treasurer
Genevieve currently holds the position as Director of Santo Domingo Early Childhood Learning Center, Head Start/Early Head Start as part of the American Indian/Alaskan Native Head Start Network. A mother of three boys, a wife, daughter and sibling from a strong, traditional New Mexican family, where family values and culture are pertinent to our well-being has worked in Higher Education Institutions, such as Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute Tribal College, Central New Mexico College, New Mexico State University/Grants and most recently faculty at the University of New Mexico in the Early Childhood Multicultural Education (ECME) program. The role in these institutions was to prepare adults who are pursuing their teacher degrees in this multifaceted and ever changing educational system- in diverse New Mexico. Genevieve has over 20 years of experience as an early childhood consultant to the Native Community in New Mexico, specifically Santo Domingo, San Felipe, Isleta, and Head Starts across New Mexico. Has seven plus years’ experience in community organizing and is a strong advocate for families, especially as it relates to the health, well-being, and education of children.
A life-long learner with many passions such as diversity, families as first teachers, language acquisition in mother tongue, culture, and community engagement.
Ann Marie Parmenter, Member
Ann Marie was born and raised in the North Valley, and has a special love for her home state of New Mexico. Her day job is as a school nurse for an APS elementary school and her evening job is as mom and wife. She is grateful for 17 years of marriage with her wonderful husband, David. She has the pleasure of raising two boys, 12 and 15 years old, who keep her very active with their sports related activities. She enjoy good eats, gardening, dogs, and spending time with her family. She hopes to offer St. Mark's an open mind, motivated by the well being of children.
